The Wilson World Tennis Classic once again brought world-class competition and camaraderie to the Shadow Mountain Resort & Club in Palm Desert, California. The tournament featured 60 divisions and welcomed over 750 men and women from across the U.S. and internationally.

Players enjoyed a true desert tennis experience, competing in National Level 2 men’s and women’s singles and doubles, as well as National Level 1 mixed doubles in the 60 age divisions.

Matches were held across multiple venues, including Palm Valley Country Club, The Omni Rancho Los Palmas, Marriott Desert Springs, The Westin Rancho Mirage, and Shadow Mountain Resort & Club. There were some rain delays early on in the tournament, but after that, players enjoyed beautiful weather.

Tournament Highlights

• Player Check-In & Gifts: Shadow Mountain Resort & Club served as the main check-in site, where players received swag that included Wilson strings, a tournament hat, hydration packs, and energy bars.

• NWTO/NMTA Player Tent: A dedicated player tent, sponsored by the NWTO and the National Men’s Tennis Association (NMTA), provided players with a relaxing space between matches and a complementary stretch session.

• Community & Membership Growth: Volunteers from NWTO staffed a membership desk, signing up a handful of new members.

• Thursday Night Player Party: The player party featured drinks, appetizers, and a raffle. All NWTO members received a raffle ticket. The grand prize—a Wilson racquet and bag—went to Sanem Ahearn.

With another successful year in the books! We can’t wait to see everyone back in Palm Desert in 2026!
