Recent changes made by the USTA have inspired several of your fellow tournament players and NWTO members to create the following 5 petitions. We are collaborating with the National Senior Men’s Tennis Association to let the USTA know how strongly players feel about these negative changes, especially the demoting of the Indoors to a Level 2 and the use of a 10-point tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set in the main draws.

There are five separate changes we are petitioning, outlined below. Please fill in your name and USTA number next to each petition you support. *Note: If you were at Women’s Intersectionals and signed in person, please do not sign again.

We petition the USTA to restore Level 1 status or gold ball status to National Indoor Tournaments.

We petition the USTA to return to the policy of playing out the 3rd set in singles and doubles, main and consolation draws, at all Level 1 tournaments.

We petition the USTA to allow Voluntary Consolation with new draws made for those entrants that choose to play consolation and provide the software to enable voluntary back draw.

We petition the USTA to allow full feed in consolation into quarters for Level 1 tournaments.

We petition the USTA to use straight draws (instead of pool play) in singles and doubles for 6 entries or more, in all Level 1 and 2.
